Doubles Rush is a game made in Trinidad and Tobago by Max Execution ("we"). We collect as little as we can. This page covers the website at doublesrush.com, the waitlist, messages you send us, and the free online version of the game (the open beta). We will update it before the phone apps or any ads arrive.
The waitlist
- What we keep: your email address, which phone you said you have (Android, iPhone or both, if you chose), whether you signed up on the website or in the game, and when you signed up and confirmed. Nothing else.
- Why: to email you when the Android and iPhone apps are out. We do not send newsletters or marketing from anyone else, and we never sell or share your email.
- Confirming: we send one email asking you to confirm. If you don't, we delete the address after 7 days.
- Leaving: every email has a link that deletes your address straight away. You can also write to [email protected].
- Age: the waitlist is for people aged 13 and over.
- Where it is stored: in our database with our hosting provider, Laravel Cloud. Emails go out through an email delivery service that only uses your address to deliver them.
Messages you send us
- What we keep: when you use Talk to us or the beta feedback page, we keep what you type (your name, email, the stand, business or publication if you give one, your message and its topic), whether it came from the website or the game, and when.
- Why: to read it, fix what you found, and answer you. Your email is used only to reply.
- How long: we delete messages a year after you send them, or sooner if you ask.
- Age: these forms are for people aged 13 and over.
The online game
- On your device: the game keeps your progress, settings, stand name and age group (never your birth year) in your own browser. Clearing your browser's site data deletes it.
- Your runs: when you finish a shift (13+ only), the game sends us the run: what you tapped and when, the mode, and your score, so our server can replay it and check the score is real before it goes on a board.
- Your stand name: if you tap Save my name, we keep your stand name so it can show on the boards, your friends' boards and your Limes. Stand names come from the game's name builder.
- Signing in (optional): with an email code we keep your email address; with Google we keep your email address and Google's ID for your account. We never keep your Google password or tokens, and we never post for you. Sign-in codes are stored scrambled and deleted soon after they expire.
- Your progress (13+, once you save your name or sign in): your stars, stand savings, upgrades, helper choice, the stop you picked and each regular's loyalty, as a list of changes from each of your devices, so your progress follows you to a new phone or browser. It is deleted with the rest of your data.
- Play counts (13+, once you save your name or sign in): we count when you open the game, serve your first doubles, finish a run, or open or complete a challenge. Each count is linked to your game account and the date on our server. We use these counts to learn whether players return and where challenge play stops. We do not store your score, name, message or device details in these counts. We delete them after 90 days, or sooner if you ask us to delete your account.
- Friends and Limes: who you added as a friend, which Limes you are in, Lime names, and any report you make about a Lime name.
- Challenge links: the link itself carries your stand name and score, so anyone you send it to can see them.
- Children: players under 13, or who skip the age question, play in child mode: no online features, nothing is sent to us, and results stay on the device.
- Deleting it all: write to [email protected] and we delete your stand name, account, progress, friends, Limes and runs within 30 days.
Cookies and tracking
- The site sets two cookies that the game and forms need to work securely (a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and a security token). They are not used for tracking. While a session is open we keep your IP address and browser type with it; sessions expire after two hours unless you stay signed in.
- No advertising, no Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel, no third-party trackers. The play counts described above are kept by us. Fonts are served from our own site.
- Referral links: some links we print or post (on a vendor's counter card, a poster or a post) end in
?ref=and a short code. When you open one, we add one to that link's count for the day, once per browser a day, so we know which stands and posters bring people. We keep only the daily total, never who opened it. - To stop abuse, we use your IP address to limit how often forms and uploads can be sent. These limits clear within a day.
- The online beta has no ads. If the phone apps later offer optional ads, we will update this page first.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, at any time, by writing to [email protected]. We will answer within 30 days.
Changes
When we change this page we update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your email, we will tell you by email first.
